Quick and easy set-up, good measuring results

The delivery includes the infrared thermometer, a manual and a 9-volt battery pack. The build quality is surprisingly good, although the entire casing is made of plastic. The entire handle has a slight grip rubber coating. It makes a robust impression and is easy. The specified measuring range of -50 to +750 degrees Celsius is enormous. I could not unfortunately lack such cold or hot surfaces or objects not try and do it easily.

Operating

On the front side there is the easy to read LCD display. With the underlying switches can optionally be switched in a blue backlight and / or a laser pointer for aiming the objects to be measured. In addition, switching between Fahrenheit and Celsius is possible.

With the existing front button, the thermometer is turned on. Within a second, the measurement result of the targeted object or surface is displayed. After the button is released and inactive for about 15 seconds, the automatic shutdown occurs.

Nothing could be easier in my opinion.

Accuracy

Multiple measuring the same objects and surfaces of equidistant has fortunately always the almost same measurement result result. The problems encountered in my tolerances were always in the manufacturer's specified range from a maximum of 2%.

The accuracy decreases with increasing distance. In the area of ​​no more than about 30 - 40 centimeters to the measurement object, everything is in the green zone. Since the infrared sensor with distance accommodates larger areas for measurement, a normal phenomenon. Very shiny or reflective surfaces provide for technical reasons not a reliable measurement result. Who needs that must resort to much more intensive TEURO pyrometer.

A good infrared thermometers for household use. Cost-effective and does what it should.
