inserting the DVD is via a drawer, like laptops.
it is self-powered via USB, so no need to connect it to any AC outlet!
it is very light and fits comfortably into a bag of laptop.

it is a bit noisy certe for DVD playback, but for burning is faster than my laptop.
the usb cable is too short (to give you an example, it is more than a hair 24pouces screen).
The cable possesses a Mini USB tip and two USB 2.0 has the other end.
I precise that it is not necessary to connect the two USB ports on your PC !!!! one is enough.
I took my cabe eg usb ps3 serves me recharge my controllers, to burn, and AC works without problem!
any cable mini USB / USB 2.0 will do, again, if it is longer it will allow you to place your drive where you want.
I recommend to avoid placing it on your furniture where you placed your laptop because when I type on the keyboard, I have a feeling that the full burning cd can sauter.prudence then!
after I do not know the lifetime of this type of product but my laptop with me laché burner is that all good for me.
in the end, I put 4 stars because the small size of the usb cable is unacceptable!
