quieter than the Western Digital WD5000BEVT Scorpio Blue 500GB

I had before buying the WD10TPVT this hard drive in my notebook:

This was when I had bought a year ago, advertised as extremely quiet and fast. Unfortunately, I was with the volume not satisfied at all (constant noise and access sounds ...)

Now after a year has passed me final and I have made myself to the search for a new hard drive.
First, I had to buy a SSD hard drive in front of me, but have then but decided due to the high prices and the limited capacity of the SSD's it.

Eventually I ended up here in this hard disk. I was skeptical whether this hard drive would solve my "volume problem" because it is from the same series as my old hard drive.
To my surprise, she's really quiet!
These hard drive has to hear a constant noise and if you listen carefully are also the access noise, but now they no longer bother me.

I have the hard drive with the freeware Clonezilla copies, so I did not have to put on my new system. Chill the WD10TPVT is as fast as the WD5000BEVT.

Conclusion: For me the purchase was the right decision.
