Personally, I find very funny Steve Carell and liked his previous films on the whole lot. In addition, I like the Agentenklamauk (Johnny English, Austin Powers, ... etc.).
I was the movie most likely reminds the backbone ago on "Johnny English", but the charm of "Get Smart" really does not come close to the of "Johnny English". Anne Hathaway was well chosen as a partner, but I think the secondary characters like The Rock or Ken Davitian and not particularly exquisite.
Conclusion: The film is in my opinion definitely watchable, but not sonderlicher thriller. For particularly funny, I think it also only limited, although I feel lifted in the genre well. Steve Carell brings out as yet very much.
