"Acid Eaters" from 1994 is first of all times not a typical Ramones album, because it only contains cover versions of rock songs from the end sixties and seventies. Nor is it a fast album, as I have read here in other reviews. Most of the songs are mid-tempo and the album has nothing absolutely nothing from the class of very early Ramones albums common. Also, it may not be disclosed to "Mondo Bizarro" of 1992 or "Adios Amigo" from 1995 come close. Certainly the album is interesting because the song selection includes only class songs of "The Who", "Rolling Stones", etc. But somehow the spark will not really skip because the musical interpretation is just anything but typical Ramones. The songs will also not be upgraded by this album, which ultimately the raison d'être of "Acid Eaters" into question.
