I had tentatively worried one of these lamps as a substitute for a three-engine ceiling lamp with conventional 40-watt spotlights in an approximately 14 square meters large adjoining room. At the same time acquired the successor Philips LED lamp has probably replaced 40 watts, 2700 Kelvin, 230 lumens, warm white 8718291770107 at that price von13,99 (now a month later only 7.99!). I wanted to make yourself a picture of its properties in direct comparison to me.
The installation / replacement turned out without any problems. The color of the lamps body is white. Thus, the appearance of the lamp can change something. In addition, the somewhat sides and rear scattered light emitted for buyers previously mounted Glühfadenmodell completely. The lighting of the room can make a difference.
It is striking that the discussed here radiator has an LED light source on the front, the successor to four, otherwise they must be distinguished from the outside barely.
Both models offer the undimmed operating, in terms of light quality. Bright, warm white light, perhaps a tick cooler as the preceding Glühfadenstrahler. Gamut of carpeting, wall, furniture and photos appear natural, with the model presented here slightly darker acts involving reciprocal darkening and the color gamut is not quite as good as the comparison model. The thrown against the wall beam is on the distance of about 3 meters by approximation around and relatively homogeneous with soft transition at the edge.
Exciting it is dimming. u in my case with a 20-year-old flush rotary dimmer Busch. Hunter. The extent to which the dimmer has an influence on the now characteristic I can not judge for lack of comparison. Phillips indicates on its website after a long search that all conventional dimmers should work. That is true also for mine. At least as long as I have two or three more lamps mounted in the lamp. Otherwise it is namely during dimming to brightness jumps, the flickers operated discussed here spotlights individually properly in darkness even partially. In the simultaneous assembly of three light sources in the lamp no problem. From a conventional bulb, however different the color characteristics. When the filament light color will darken when getting warmer, almost like natural sunset. When the LEDs discussed here there is indeed dark, but the light color does not change noticeably. Interestingly, the newer alternative LED when darkening is much brighter as discussed herein, which can be almost completely darken, thus having a further dimming. In addition, it should be noted that both lamps in dimming hum very softly, but audibly in a quiet environment. At full brightness, I hear nothing.
Meanwhile, I have three used by the newer bulbs in the lamp and am very happy that here discussed model but has to its advantages, for example, further darken the opportunity. It seems to me here, as well as in my previously made with LED's experiences but important to make yourself a picture of whether the light source for the purpose of actually has all the desired properties.
