What I really liked was the 16:10 format which offers more 120 pixels in height. 16: 9 is also good, but the extra height is already a small luxury I wanted to treat myself once. :-)
Originally I had the BenQ GW2760HS in mind because these VA LED uses and still no PWM for brightness control. (Maybe there are others that I had overlooked in this case, probably)
I have but then decided against this because I think 1080p at 27 "too weak. It should have been already 1440p to compensate for the size (DPI).
Everything is at a 24 "model just right: Everything is nice and big and keen on working distance Only who is stuck in front of the monitor could see pixels..
Now to the device itself:
Already during the first operating acquisition shows the BenQ how good its factory settings. Bold colors, great contrast, no glitter, flicker, hum, or otherwise. I was just out of habit equated to the menu for adjustment, because there is not much to do.
Basically, I've just lowered the brightness, because the monitor innately very light (90) is set. I was surprised how great the picture has remained during downshifting! At least on my old unit one notices a clear contrast loss when you turn down the brightness. Here that was not the case, great!
In addition, I have only the sharpness set slightly higher so that the font does not look so blurred. 8/10 enough, 10 is almost exaggerated sharp.
The matte display does its job very well. From Zimmerbeleichtung comes in normal operation at no appreciable light.
Testhalber I have a very black picture in Paint.Net created (1920x1200) and regarded as png in full screen - as falling on the brightest light sources. But I must mention that this is an extreme situation that will provoke exactly hardly. Who is working on a completely please black screen? So test passed!
Color I had to ask for anything. IPS maintains a very good contrast and vibrant colors, without exaggerating. The sRGB space covers the monitor from Compline and it shows immediately!
To complain about there really is little:
The supplied cables (DVI and D-Sub) are quite short fall (1.5 m). Who has the computer close to the monitor will be pleased with the money saved - the others should not forget to order a longer cable.
Finally, I have to say that the menu is a bit sluggish. But I would not say that the genes a purchase talks, firstly because there is very very little that needs to be adjusted, and secondly it is usually satisfied after a first setup and summarizes there anything more. What is applied to waiting time, one gets with spared setup time loosely back inside ;-)
My Conclusion:
The BenQ BL2411PT is a great monitor! He has enough work surface has a highly detailed and realistic picture and thereby effectively protects the eyes. Even faster operations (games) seem as far no noticeable problem to be (the real hardcore gamers might see it that way; at least according PRAD he keeps standing).
Once the price is easing, I'm going to maybe get a second to do so. This part is just great!
