PLUS
+ Installation is simple, it is in demand even after the preferred region of the third programs; but it takes a bit if you can update everything (about 45 minutes).
+ Image and sound quality of the station (much better than my old receiver, depending on the program you realize that sometimes more, sometimes less), when changing channels the frame lasts but a little.
+ The recordings also have good sound and picture quality. The public stations with HD quality can the captured forward and rewind, cutting and rename. Only in the recordings of private channels with HD quality (HD + card) can be recording mostly cut out neither fast forward nor the advertising, which reduces the value of such a card much (so I suppose in private rather without HD quality) ,
+ Watch a recording while it is still running, going on public broadcasters and private non-HD channels. In private HD channels you can usually only decide whether to "live" or wants to see "from the beginning", fast forward is not possible (the advertising you can not handle it).
+ Simple watching a recording on the PC is possible by connecting the external hard drive to the computer. Access to recordings of private HD channels but is denied.
++ The electronic program guide SFI inspired me for years at the TechniSat devices: At a glance you can see all running programs of the different channels and how long they last more. By pressing a button you can also look at what comes later, and the timer for Programming a recording (up to a week in advance).
+ In general, the operation of the receiver very user-friendly, because the menu is concise and well thought out. The included Quick Start Guide is not as short as in other companies and on CD, there is a long-wheelbase version. This helped me to coordinate my two TechniSat receivers (was also very easy).
+ There was also a competent hotline on my hard drive problems (see below).
+ The selection and sound quality of audible REGIONAL RADIO STATION is convincing (SWR3, BR3 ..).
MINUS
- Contrary to the experience of the other reviewers, I had problems with the connection of an external hard drive: The first hard disk has the receiver did not recognize (WD Elements). The second was too slow (the result were more likely to still images instead of HD recording, slow hard disk CORE / OnMemory). The speed of the hard drive, however, can be tested using the Receiver. Only the third hard drive is now running without any problems (1000GB CORE / OnMemory with external power supply). In general, the disks must be reformatted before the system FAT32.
- No clock or transmitter display on the device itself, only green light "on" and red light for "off" and it flashes when recording.
CONCLUSION: The unit is top, you can see times on the initial disk problems. The advantage of an HD + card but is canceled out by the limitations of the transmitter while watching and recording.
