Volume was important to me, because the disk hidden is in the kitchen (on a Mac mini). Another plus: Looks pretty good. I glued the plate rubber feet (which I do with all the plates so because of ventilation). Therefore, I do not know whether they would vibrate or overheat without rubber feet.
