Reasonable price can not compensate for structural failures.

As already described by other customers, the device has an automatic switch-off of the output stage, whose sensitivity and delay, unfortunately, can not be set. The shutdown is accompanied by a clearly audible, crackling sound, turning on a also clearly perceptible POPP.

Given the rather heavy proportions of the unit I was happy at first because still applies to bass the good old rule "displacement instead spoiler". In fact, the box comes in the bass range down pretty deep, leaving even with "Äktschn" movies tidy the walls shake.

I would, however, expect from a brand-name manufacturers like Onkyo more precision in sound. The deep tones sound example rather something mushy for my taste at Acid Jazz.

I have therefore returned fairly disappointed the loudspeaker after a few days. Despite the very low price in the Christmas season I could not sound convincing and the annoying rattling shutdown is for people who like music with a high dynamic range IMHO an absolute knock-out criterion of Onkyo SKW-208.
