One of the best versions of the Arthurian legend that I was given to read: style is both clear and well written, the characters are renewed through a significant portion made their psychology, the novel remains true the legend in outline and its share of charms, and I would say makes it more consistent. Finally it remains very instructive for young portraying good education and codes of knights and courtesy. As a French teacher I recommend it to my college colleagues, my students loved 5th, mostly bcp and even read for themselves the following volumes. It is a good alternative to the "Chevalier a la charrette" Chrétien de Troyes he resumes the narrative. In addition there is a glossary of medieval terms at the end of the book.
