The matt polished steel front looks good, but shows every fingerprint on as if you had dipped their hands in butter before: Those who want to design, must suffer. The device is compact, although there is still some smaller machines with the same size baking pan. Praiseworthy: The maker has a power switch - now almost no longer common. The power cord is not particularly long, but not alarmingly short.
OPERATION
The current program will be displayed only as a number, which you can then assign a name based on a abgedruckenden on the device table (eg, 2 = white bread). The legend is unfavorably printed with dark red text on a black background and, depending on the lighting conditions barely legible. The device displays information partly in German and partly in English at ("Baking"), which is inconsistent.
The program buttons on the top are large and visually appealing, but slightly spongy, you have to press vigorously. Unfortunately, there are 13 programs in spite of only a "next program" button instead of forward and back arrows. Therefore, the choice of the immediately preceding program amounts to 12 button pushes.
Who will win the battle with the buttons, this machine can even define a "natural program" with personal kneading, walking and baking times. Whether that is with 12 built-in programs really be necessary (can be combined with other settings like crust / size), I do not know yet. The opportunity is at least interesting.
OPERATION
The device is still particularly loud when kneading neither particularly quiet. You can sleep here but not so that the timer-controlled, baked at night breakfast bread is only possible when you can place the unit in the distance from the bed. The beep sounds are silent and protect the nerves.
PROCESSING
The device is easily processed Class usual behind the steel Front: Plastic hinges, plastic buttons, plastic windows, a somewhat labile sheet form with up spatter coating. Having zubreitet one (1) bread, on the coating scratch marks are already visible. Obviously it leaves the space proven Quantanium alloy with fried onions to its knees. Why worry I'm not but: Unold are on the baking tin 2 years warranty.
Baking results
The "master baker" produced the usual, tasty, juicy but optically defective machines Bread: Crosser edge on most pages, but on top of only a thin, bright "dermis". That's all Breadmakers so because the heat is transmitted primarily via the form, and that is open is known, above. This page will not be baked cross - Breadmakers have top heat. The guide contains tips on how to clad the, for example by brushing with egg yolk / milk before baking, grains, etc.
OTHER FEATURES
The machine can also knead dough without baking (-> pizza dough). This is the most frequently used function from me. The dough turns out perfectly. Furthermore, one can prepare jams. Therefore the manufacturer recommends, however to purchase one additional form, because the acidity of the fruits attacks the coating.
INSTRUCTIONS
The documentation is structured a bit confusing. For example, diving tips for first time on how the grease the dish right in the book. But with 40 pages the booklet is above average extensively. There are a lot of background information and numerous fancy recipes that make buying a maker recipe book superfluous.
