The MP3 function and CD was not so important to me. Interesting for me the radio reception, sound and the evening 'Set alarm'.
I let the General of the other reviews now get away and go only on my personal experience with this device.
My Pros:
- Regular tv points, also for cable suitable
- Fine tuning after the first switching on, but everything was full to 20 preset stations. The higher frequencies are therefore not automatically recorded may. But for my most listened to stations reichts loose
- USB also allows for external hard drives, 2.5-inch WD My Passport gets enough power. Long mp3 pleasure (but see contraindications to mp3)
- Terminal can also be 2,5 mm² copper cables for other speakers to
- 10 W RMS rich even for larger speakers you have (had the original not in use)
- After power failure, the transmitter will be stored (the clock of course must be made somewhat complicated new)
- Sound is very good for this price range
- Plant switches the sound "soft" one, so do not and loud, but turns it in about 1 second "soft" high.
- No standby pipes / -Piepsen, as here of mini plants of other manufacturers criticized
- Quality impression despite plastic
- Investment is thus also extremely light, with the wiring can easily be held in one hand.
My cons:
- The battery compartment of the remote control broke me apart at the first opening, absolutely windy construction.
With Powerstrips it now holds at least to some extent.
- Most functions can be set only on the remote control, for example, activating and setting the timer or clock
- The timer can be programmed only when the system is off, and it lasts forever. If you 'fast times' will enter another alarm time, you can sometimes take a seat in front of it and click through the whole scheme (source, hour, minute, starting volume).
- After setting the alarm clock going to bed usually, the clock will light but still for a while. Do you have to (for 3 seconds button) every time off again with the FB. Let's see if it is annoying in the long run ;-)
- MP3 playback starts after turning off the system repeatedly in Track 1 at! So if the alarm is on mp3, listen daily greet the marmot)
- The equalizer settings can not be combined, for example, do not operate the only viable 'Rock' sound scheme with the DBB-Bass.
- No variable volume control, only roughly graded levels. With my larger speakers (with a bit more power and therefore generally quieter) disrupts this little. The small original speaker could here but certainly at the lower level too low and at the next higher be too loud.
- If you take forgets his alarm clock made earlier have to get out or even stayed elsewhere, the system switches off no longer alone.
So you come home in the evening and listen to the first run his investment. My previous was able to combine an alarm clock with an example 60min Sleeptimer, this unfortunately is not here.
Had before a 20 year old AIWA NSX-360 spoils thereof genuine in daily wake-use and am :-)
But with the Philips and some compromises can certainly live. As a start to the day they really enough at this price anyway.
