I ordered this product on the seller via Amazon Marketplace "Music Paradise". I received an iPod Nano 16GB Silver 7th generation, but it is not a new (MD480ZD / A) as shown, but a reconditioned came from the United States (FD480LL / A).
I do not doubt the quality of Apple's reconditioning process, and I paid 123 Euros instead of 169 Euros for a new at Apple, so somewhere, might be expected. The article is very suitable to me, but it still remains that the description is wrong and the seller has demonstrated a blatant dishonesty that I can not tolerate.
The seller was dishonest to stick a white sticker over the word "Apple Certified Refurbished" so that it is not visible, and a new bar code with the "part no." a new device to camouflage the real barcode. It certainly can not be a mistake, given the deliberate way in which it was done. Amazon package contained no invoice or other proof of purchase, I do not even know if the seller takes good account of VAT.
For the record: The model I received reconditioned to sell US $ 99, we can easily imagine the profit that these thugs can do by charging a high price in European under the masquerade of a new product at a discount.
I contacted Amazon customer service on the subject to denounce these not only immoral but illegal practices that plague the credibility of their marketplace platform. My request has to go through another service and I expect we recontacted me on this.
** UPDATE **
Amazon disclaims any liability with respect to Marketplace sellers.
Meanwhile, I discovered that the product is registered as "achetté" March 3, 2014 at Apple, when Apple began the implementation of the warranty (90 days free single intervention Apple Support Product warranty + d 'one year). I placed my order on May 20 ... I ended up with a guarantee cropped for all the time that the product has passed on the shelves of Music Paradise, and no way to rectify the date of purchase at Apple since I do not have proof of purchase.
New contact at Amazon, who assured me that the situation was not normal at all and that they would contact the seller to convey my request for proof of purchase. It was there over two weeks and I still have not received anything either from Amazon or from Paradise Music.
I contacted the seller directly using the form "Request invoice", which should normally answer within 3 days (obligation as a vendor marketplace). We'll see ... I admit that I no longer believe.
