Story: Nothing special, far far from being "epic", but somehow cozy - this is the story of the hero Hawke, who searched his illustrious group of comrades town Kirkwall and its surroundings for all kinds of adventures, while a conspiracy around the fascinating people of Qunari comes closer. Since neither "Two Worlds" still "Arcania" I'm counting the extended circle of competitors, were superior in this spot, "DA2" So flatter stories lined up perfectly with a number. Really problematic is the fact that the main story to the many side quests absolutely losing momentum and occurs completely in the background.
Graphics: Again, standard fare is delivered, nothing you do not know, but to as "Mass Effect 2" they do not come close. Maybe it's just that the sci-fi saga has another settings, not very noticeable in the possible blocks. In short: Good, but not outstanding.
Sound: Musically everything ok, technically terrific speaker - known voices from film and television provide Hollywood atmosphere, what more could you want?
Gameplay: The predecessor was measured at many other games in the genre, no playful Lightweight ... at least if you fully utilizing all. DA2 everything easier and lets the RPG character on the track and no longer looks like a "Baldur's Gate" -like gameplay, but settles somewhere between the in-house "Mass Effect 2" and "Knights of the Old Republic". Due to the repetitive or very similar level but is "KOTOR" for me a little closer.
You can all now criticize and it is safe enough to be people who this "unhelpful" button pure choke me, but somehow makes DA2 despite the deficiencies a lot of fun. Easy walk into the game, keeps the story one on a leash and it turns somehow that "only a quest" feeling a. That's a more than decisive factor for me and therefore gets Bioware's latest work in total earned 4 stars. Deduction there for the sum of blunders that result just from the boring levels and the relatively harmless story, as well as "Baldur's Gate" veteran of the first hour, I know, unfortunately, that such caliber does not grow on trees. Whether Bioware enters and leaves the old "DA" -Tugenden rekindle we will see, by then I speak for all fans of good entertainment (and that's all DA2) a strong buy recommendation.
Update as of 1.4.2011:
After two playthrough I have no reason found around 40h per season and a good story presentation more than one star for the x-time deducted mentioned weaknesses. DA2 is not a "role play" first rate, but there is a lack of complexity - if Fanboys values harder that's ok, the product is not as bad as it represents the current average number of stars.
