This book is for me the reference on Postgresql. Whenever I hit a specific point - including advanced topics - I find the specific answer in much less time on the internet and forums. The sections on PL / pgSQL, extensions, and others, are excellent. Certainly it is neither a novel nor a beginner's book, but for those who like simple, clear technique, no frills which gives you the exact answer it is an ideal companion.
