What we wanted is a media center, which can be operated with a remote control.
The failed in advance already at the fact that we are cable Germany customer with a private external KD receiver with CI + slot and hard disk recording capability of the HD program.
Further still is a xbox one within reach and a Technics turntable.
So because we record movies of KD, we could not replace the external receiver. The image input comes in through HDMI 1. About HDMI2 is the XBOX One tethered (and I do not want to loop through the image via XBOX One, because I do not ever want to have in operation, the Xbox). The turntable is running purely via AV means of a preamplifier.
What is really fiddly, is not changeable menu of Panasonic home theater system.
I wish that you could pre-assign the major channels on the page. The Apps are the Panasonic TV-quality, higher-resolution control only with the TV operation. The timeout of the TV is also only the second operation to confirm with "OK". So you have to click through the menus in order to select the input sources, which is not nice and unfortunately repeatedly confusing "treasure? How can I watch television again?" "Papi? How do I get again to my XBox image?
What also is not optimal, is that from a distance does not look good if the home theater system is on or off. If you switch from accidentally, you must select the input source when switching again, because it is not "noticed".
What's really positive, is the sound of the 5.1 system, at least to our ears. We have all the speakers have been placed frontal on a mobile TV dresser and the system also configured. In action movies, the volume come partly too loud over compared to the quiet voice passages.
The Internet and the apps on your home theater system I use does not, movies I stream through the Xbox One Amazon LOVEFiLM app, it works much better than the apps the competition, which we tested on the home theater system. Since the Apps not cache it always came back to image and audio breakup.
In this respect, Panasonic could have saved the apps and the Internet integration complete. A better input source selection, and really a Viera TV service for TV and home theater would have cleared out our remote Zoo. Does not it though.
If someone has a good idea how I could optimize, like a comment.
I would my home theater system that sort of thing does not buy again (the Panasonic TV already), so only three stars.
