The game has now but already on his back and at current prices (Software Pyramide) I had to finally access some years.

Story (4 of 5 stars):

In the story I just want briefly to avoid any spoilers. As in Part 4 is among the opponents in RE5 to no zombies, but to so-called "Majini". Protagonist Chris Redfield is now a member of the BSAA (Bio-Terrorism Security Assessment Alliance) travels to move the arms dealer Irving there in the village "Kijuju". Immediately after his arrival, he meets the BSAA agent Sheva Alomar-which joins him. It is quite clear that in this village something is wrong and it starts a fight for survival!

Game Design and Level Structure (4 out of 5 stars):

The game is designed for 2 players, so player 1 takes the control of Chris Redfield and Player 2 (or the AI) controls Sheva Alomar. Before starting playing you can choose whether you wish to daddeln alone or whether one makes his game quasi public so that another player can. The game is not interrupted because the entering of another player happens fluently.

The feeling of playing together is reinforced by various situations. For example, if a player grabbed by the enemy, the other player can intervene and liberate these with a powerful melee attack. These attacks look (at least of Sheva) spectacular. The lady tells Kicks like a martial arts specialist. Chris on the other hand hammering with its powerful upper arms to the enemy or occurs on lying on the ground enemies. Should a player (almost) have no life energy, this can only drag away and needs to be rescued by injection by another player.

The level are only partially open plan and usually applied like a hose. There is no "open world" as we know it from its predecessors. This is unfortunate, since one had yet given away to some potential. However, it was ensured in this way that no boredom or frustration by eventual long search the correct key, etc., occurs (I would have the desired anyway;). The story takes on fast ride and you are on a "horror action-survival trip" of the upper class in the frequently they faded away. Visually, the sections are designed very differently, so currency exchange the setting from the African village on a swamp (which must be traveled by speedboat), an ancient temple to a volcanic landscape.

Any bosses encountered more frequently in the game. If you have discovered their weak spot, it is deliberately shoot and hope that the munitions do not run out. These are beautifully designed and sometimes huge (similar to Lost Planet 2).

Sound (4 out of 5 stars):

The soundscape is very well fall into this game. One can already detect any enemy from a distance and make up to what type it is. So you can hear for example. The anwackelnden Majini scream and drum up when they have discovered a. The sounds of the weapons sound just as realistic and is in conjunction with the great background music so strong Survival Feeling on.

Graphics (5 out of 5 stars):

The graphics are consistent, the battles are nicely staged and the textures are usually sharp.
The requirements for the computer are quite acceptable. So the game ran on my AMD Athlon X4 630, 4gig Ram and a Nvidia GTX 260 with all graphics settings set to maximum and in DirectX 10 mode at a frame rate of 45-60 fps. On our second computer had changed and some details are reduced in order to arrive at 30+ FPS (Athlon X3, 4gig Ram and Nvidia GT 240) at least in the DirectX 9 mode.

Control (3 out of 5 stars):

You can tell that this game comes from the console. I usually play ports usually with the gamepad, but here I attacked but then to keyboard and mouse. After a short adjustment period to get it good with the somewhat sluggish Steurung cope and massacres by the Majini hordes.

Criticisms: Why can not I move when I geezückt objectives or the knife? Why you have to wait until you have reloaded to run away ... while the enemy striking out just a powerful attack and you then faded away? Well things for which we must thank the consoles.

Playing time (4 out of 5 stars):

We have the game on the normal difficulty setting (are easy, normal, hard (and still a hidden?)) On a weekend, that is played out in 15 hours. This time is indicated by the game itself, although it should be noted that the game probably should not have counted the retry a level as our actual playing time was a lot higher.

Free playable:
Defeat the boss so you will be a new game mode unlocked: The mercenary mode.
The mode consists of 10 levels that need to be mastered. You fight here alone or in pairs during a running timer against zombies and try as many as possible take. There are several characters to choose from, with more to be unlocked in Campaigning mode. The mercenary mode is great fun!

The sagenumwobende Versus mode is not available or not unlockable in the German version!
