1. This Pumpfix appear first on large, heavy and bulky, but is simple to operate and very lightweight. The diameter is wider compared to the standard Pümpel with red rubber bell only a trifle. Therefore it fits everywhere on the discharge, which is also the standard Pümpel fits with rubber bell. In addition, he does not even have to sit centrally at a small distance from the wall of the sink over the outflow hole. A deviation sideways is irrelevant as long as the edge of the unit to the drain around closes smoothly. If necessary, you can also rub the rim with some special fittings grease from the hardware store, which additionally strengthens the seal.
2. The suction cup is much higher than that of standard Pümpels. Therefore, the volume of water and air, by pressing this bell, much larger than in the flatter standard Pümpel; and thus also of a several times higher effect. With its large volume, this bell can therefore also build up a very high pressure against the grafting in the pipe. The accordion-fold and the inwardly curved lower edge also ensure that this pressure is not (as in the standard Pümpel rubber) too early to escape to the outside, but is fully directed into the tube.
3. However: The accordion-folding, the large volume and the much better pressure seal at the bottom required of me a huge effort on depression, so many a (r) could be overtaxed if the outflow -As at us- fixed is blocked and therefore provides appropriate resistance. The promised "suction" - instead of the pressure-action brought therefore nothing. Resistance in the tube was too large. It was finally only the enormous construction of pump pressure when depressing, brought the resounding success.
Such an effort is a disadvantage. To make matters even seemed that I needed both hands to depress the device with all his strength, and therefore, no hand had a day off, simultaneously hold down the plug in the sink next to second. So for that I needed a helper. But such drawbacks are also a consequence of the necessary high pressure build-up against the pipe blockage and thus a prerequisite for the rapid success. Therefore, they must be well tolerated. So no point deduction.
Finally, a tip that with us to the startling "resounding" effect with contributing: Man waiting at first, to overnight abgesickert some water in the drain and thus a space is created in the pipe. Which is filled with hot water from the heat, which softens the fat grafting in the pipe. Then you fill the sink at least one hand on length of cold water. Cold water holds the bell stable and increases the pressure. Then not only elastic air, but "hard" water is pressed into the pipe. Hot water on the other hand would make the plastic bell unstable and reduce their seal.
Anyway, I managed with only 4-5 pumping operations of surprising free blow. By comparison, the standard Pümpel with flatter rubber bell about 2000 (!!!) were pumping tests in a week in vain and 3 of the standard Pümpel with rubber cracks on the track. Conclusion: The mE excessive price for this unit has paid off in the end.
