Rick Ross The Boss

Trilla (Audio CD)

Customer Review

On August 08, 2006 published Miami rapper Rick Ross his outstanding debut album "Port of Miami" with the mega hit single "Hustlin '. Well 1 1/2 years later is his follow-up album "Trilla" in the starting blocks and Ross himself has set a fairly large bar with his debut album. To break this Rick Ross has brought some well-known producers like Justice League, Mannie Fresh, JR Rotem, The Runners, Drumma Boy, DJ Toomp or Just Blaze on board for "Trilla" and also with guest appearances was not stingy, artists like T -Pain, R. Kelly, Nelly, Jay Z, Young Jeezy and Trey Songz are just a few names. "Trilla Intro" begins the album and Justice League brings us here ever a fat beat of a perfect match to the album and Rick Ross is already here his class to the test. Then it goes merrily on with "All I have in this world" that was penned by former Cash Money producer Mannie Fresh, who once again delivers a great beat us, and a very awesome instrumental with some short electric guitars inserts. Now follow the two singles "The Boss" and "Speedin" which are likely to be well-known and already many good songs for the clubs. "Money make me come" works from the very first second dark and aggressive whereas then "This is the life" with RnB singer Trey Songz then already comes almost quiet again. "Here I Am" has a somewhat faster instrumental to, quite unusual for a Drumma Boy production in my opinion, but also remember a really nice piano melody on. "Maybach Music" is also a strong song with Jay Z and "Billionaire" comes from the start with a powerful bass-containing Beat and therefore a mystical melody. "Luxury Tax" is probably a dream for fans Down South: Rick Ross along with Weezy, Jeezy and Trick Daddy on a track -the madness and a well-known melody sample there also at that. With "I'm only human," there is the completion of the album once more fireworks. The song itself seems a bit rocky due to the electric guitars and Rodney in the chorus, unusual for the sound of Rick Ross but somehow damn cool. Rick Ross creates with "Trilla" a strong album, but in my opinion not quite match the brilliant debut "Port of Miami" approach comes.
