I have the same model "RE 500" purchased in the early 2000s by my father. She still hold after a change of coals there a few years. It is lighter than the old model, just as powerful but perhaps a bit less torquey at low speed (check). The keyless chuck works well enough for now. The operation maintains button is appreciable. The hammer mode: not tested yet
Cons: there is no speed limit wheel that allowed to screw without damaging fragile items. There, pressure must be set on the trigger, and it's hot (perhaps a true geek would arrive well there?). Overall, on this point, it can not be used viseuse as well as a model of 15 years old! Too bad.
