On the adapter is well made, but the construction of the contacts inside the adapter does not correspond completely to what is commonly found in E27 sockets. Namely, the threaded portion is also drawn inwards, which in combination with the unusually wide foot contact the hue lamp to a short circuit between N and L (or lead can - for me anyway it was the case).
Unfortunately, this is not the only one adapter with this problem - or is sold under different names.
