4 weeks before I bought the Teva Tanza Leather-men's sandals and went with them to a 11 day canoe expedition. The sandals were hard claimed (in running water over stones, doing heavy boats pulled [shear] or worn). The sandals are after the ride is still like new.

The only downside: The antibacterial sole does not work with me. Even after two hours barefoot in sandals with loose belts and no great movement rises an unpleasant "odor" on. The leather soles of my slippers is there significantly less odor.
