The vest itself is leather or equivalent, that is very robust! I eliminated other weighted vests as they seemed not sturdy at all. Therewith, without risk. I even said to myself that if I fall bike, protect me well and do not stumble !!!
The straps are adjustable at will. I'm not thick nor weakling and there is plenty of room in the 2 directions.
