I bought this adapter to connect my MacBook Pro on your TV. That works just fine and in my 2011er model and the sound is transmitted perfectly. A star deduction is available for the optics of the adapter. It is not white, but gray - exactly how it knew from the beginning of the 90 computers. That does not fit quite so well for Apple look.
