I had to stand the following requirements.
- Stable
- Klein
- Light weight
- Less than 100 EUR
- With quick release plate
- Supple 3-way head
- If possible with pocket
Resilient the MK394-H is up to 3.5 kg. My DSLR setup weighs around 1.5 kg and 17-50 mm zoom lens and microphone. The 3-way head can rotate and tilt very smooth with this setup. This was exactly what my Hama failed.
All in all, the workmanship is very good. The quick release plate is completely made of metal.
For negative. Since the tripod with 1.7 kg Although quite easy, I would have liked a hook for additional weights at the bottom of the center column. This hook to z. B. mount the camera bag is missing. Even if you have built up a number of times the tripod and folded back, the aluminum looks quite "black" from. Guess the abrasion of the plastic closures.
Conclusion: for serious amateur photo- and videographers with a certain budget that need a tripod for traveling, a clear buy recommendation. In this price region I had looked at the Cullmann Nanomax 260M. However, my head has not so much as from Manfrotto.
