Besides verschmerzbaren size (it is small, but it comes with today's technology less) a power supply unit has been selected, which starts at high frequency hum as soon as it supplies the switch with power. Although not loud, but annoying in close proximity of a quiet workplace. (The switch itself is noiseless (!))

Something distance ranges from the way, so that the power supply is no longer audible, but not everyone has that opportunity.
