Prove the Poets of the Fall, that of Finland not only brilliant Power Metal combos come from. Nee, with "Signs of Life", the three musicians here a work from that damn catchy Pop / Rock offers. The Poets of the Fall create a very unique sound, which always arouses a feeling in me as if I'm sitting in a convertible and blowing me the warm summer breeze during a sunset through his hair. Might sound a bit cheesy, but otherwise I can not describe what can be heard here so. Let's start by the opening track "Lift" on. Certainly with the fastest and most rocking Songe on the CD. Nevertheless, the refrain has been something very hymn-like. The same can be said of the subsequent "Overboard" - great song with catchy qualities of top marks. "Late Goodbye" is interpreted as Akkustikballade and known from the game Max Payne 2. Very intense and absolutely intoxicating. "Do not Mess With Me" is an absolute Rocker - is fully on the 12 and acts on first hearing something out of place, but ultimately also thumbs up - mainly because of the ingenious Bridge in the middle part. Then start with "3 AM" already re so a mix between rock song and catchy pop anthem. Especially the reef is just good to create a goosebumps when rock fans. And "Stay" is full of emotion and every time I hear the song I have the feeling that come my tears - so captivating is all. With "Seek You Out" is something sets pace back and goes for a little more aggressive to work. "Shallow" is probably the bulkiest pieces on the CD, but scary spherical and thus definitely also something very special. "Everything Fades" starts very slowly, but then reveals a rock anthemic character. Again, the Hoechsmann note. "Someone Special" then reminds me of some of Britpop bands such as Oasis and do not want me very much. But the subsequent "Illusion & Dream" and the last song "Sleep" rip the CD again in unsuspected musical heights. I keep asking myself why you can only give 5 stars on Amazon - because this CD deserves easy 10 stars. Let yourself this full soulful songs not miss!
