My favorite features:
This primarily involves the Coherence mode that allows one Windows program to open as directly on the Mac and operate. The Windows interface is this invisible and only a Bedienicon in MacMenüleiste displayed. Very handy when several programs are running.
Also very convenient is the direct Austaschen files using drag and drop when you're working in the normal window mode.
Performance:
Who uses a dual-core processor, should choose the following settings:
- CPUs: 1
- 2 GB of RAM (if enough available)
- Adaptive Hypervisor: activated
- Windows accelerate
- Energy: Better performance
- Performance (as desired, with me): faster Mac
Windows runs so smoothly and without delay. The Mac also contrast.
Be sure when using battery power but the power management switch on Windows: Power Settings -> CPU Cooling -> Active
Otherwise, the whole fairly quickly warm.
Alternatively, you can also install a fan controller under OSX.
I would recommend to all this software but which nevertheless are convinced of Mac OSX and need to use programs available so far only for Windows, or what the Windows environment is absolutely necessary.
I use, for example:
- Mp3tag: A strong Tagger. Irreplaceable for my DJ database and unfortunately no comparable software under OSX. Simply pull on Windows the data on the Mac partition into the program. Tagging. Done. Is immediately recognized by iTunes and Trakor.
- Code block: While the development environment is also available on the Mac as an app available. However, even writes the manufacturer of problems and a more unstable software. Under Windows no problem.
- Otherwise, it's very handy if someone in studying something needs with OSX but can not do anything. Or. Programs provide only for Windows are available.
I initially boot camp and tried VirtualBox, however, takes me eternal restarting between Boot Camp too long since I want to use side by side the programs and VirtualBox was me simply too slow. After the first trial version of Parallels Desktop 8 I decided to buy. Without Parallels I would have really struggled to keep my computer compact and fast.
