The music sounds at once completely to the USA, more precisely, to the southern states. For Southern Rock is indeed a little too funky for Blues to rock, for ... it's a big gumbo with everything in it. Rock, soul, blues, Cajun, Jazz .... the Allman Brothers, Little Feat, Nevielle Brothers, Dr. John and many others come to mind.
