Another customer has already written somewhere here at Amazon that you can run a USB sound card to a Synology Disk Station (thanks to unknown)
Here I explain now how exactly that works for that also want the
,
Before, I had to take over the PC, TV or Blu-ray player on my system my MP3s and Internet radio.
Now makes my DiskStation itself and that is best thing I can control it all with very comfortable DS audio app.
I would have almost a Sonos Connect bought for 350 euros for precisely these functions and the Sonos system can not play lossless files like FLAC.
A friend has a Sonos system and control via app is as well done.
Quenched only took me the prize from Sonos and limiting the MP3 quality and limiting the Mp3 collection and possibly additional WLAN radiation.
I have since 2 years Ds 213+ and had no idea that's something.
The instructions should think I work well with the other DiskStations. If not write a comment

3.) To connect a suitable cable to the audio output to the system. For the SPDIF solution with the above sound card I bought this cable; qid = 1412977167 & sr = 8-6 & keywords = + Toslink jack
4) Audio Station via the browser open in the top center Settings -> Permissions -> Hook for USB / DLNA renderer with appropriate users translated.
Now I have next door set in options for the hook "Enable High Quality Output for USB Speaker"
Choose OK to confirm
5.) In the Audio Station to the right settings on "USB speaker output" go
Alternatively, on the App DS audio control here Settings -> Select a Player -> USB Speakers
