The following aspects were decisive for me for the purchase of this device:
- Full-HD display (1080p) 13.3 inches
- Large touchpad
- SSD as a "hard drive"
- High-quality appearance
- High quality
- Viewing angle stable display
- Long battery life
- Keypad backlighting
In summary, I have seen a worthy replacement for my Macbook Air wanted, which I sold for compatibility reasons.
Unfortunately, many Ultrabooks are not yet equipped with a full HD display with 1080p. The many negative reviews on comparable machines from other manufacturers, which partly come up with unacceptable quality defects, have therefore contributed to the decision was made quickly for the 730u3e. I find it amazing that ultrabooks have a price more than 1000 built-in touchpad wrong, have serious pixels or are completely wrong or wobble.
But this is the review for 730u3e. So ...
DELIVERY:
When unpacking it has not much to do. In the box you will find only the Ultrabook and the AC adapter. A recovery medium is like these days are not available.
PROCESSING:
The housing is made almost entirely of metal. The material does not act slightly gray, so garish silver as in many photos. It looks definitely very high. The touchpad makes a very good tactile impression. The keyboard comes up close to the MBA, but the lighting is really like to read in some reviews very uneven. The letters are not as difficult to read as some others have described it. I type this review just on the device and it works very well. The keypad can be in the center very easily by bending. The weight is higher than my old notebook, but still be called mobile. Below are some screws are visible. As I have seen in some videos you can expand the memory and probably if necessary, replace the SSD. That did not, however, and I'll try.
EQUIPMENT
Compared to other Ultrabooks, this relatively large number of interfaces. Even a full LAN port is available. Also, the HDMI connector requires an adapter. The keyboard has a sufficient equipment. For other devices, you have to work with an extensive triple occupancy.
SOFTWARE
On the notebook numerous programs are preinstalled as trial versions. It's annoying, yes, but it has its limits. I have already taken much stronger "contaminated" computer in operation. A complete reinstall is therefore my opinion unnecessary. The Samsung programs / apps are sometimes quite useful. So you can specify, for example, using an app, the program to work with the built-in processor graphics unit and gets access to which installed Radeon Card !!!
That was the first impression of the device. I'll now extensively test (performance, screen, ...) and then expand this review. My expectations have been met. A star deduction is available for the moderately-lit keyboard. Maybe for some important yet: The fan is very quiet in office mode most or off. Under full load, I could not test it.
