Compared to the performance MX:
By design, it is a mixture of the old gaming mice from Logitech and Performance MX. This is evident also in the operation, the MMN. is quite similar good.
The mouse could, like the MX Performace be somewhat fuller, or greater, but that's just my subjective perception and does not flow into the assessment.
The two main buttons are in Performance MX (probably by age) noticeably vague.
It is nice that the mouse wheel to move sideways, like a button click, which it has not done in the performance MX. Decoupling and scrolling behavior are MMN. equal.
The battery power of g700s is worse than the performance of the MX.
Something that I've missed in the performance MX was finally improved: With cable connected the mouse is in cable mode and sends no more than the recipient.
Processing:
Getting used to the rougher black sides of the mouse, making them more secure, however, lies in their hands. The corrugations on the mouse, however, are just painted, the keys themselves are smooth.
The gap dimensions Logitech has taken on decent block.
Keys:
The Upper Keys mouse are nothing to complain about. The 3 additional keys on the left mouse button can be reached very well by gently Fingeranwinkeln. My index finger (Medium hand) is then perfectly between G9 and G10, which I use for speed adjustment.
The keys act not spongy and have a pleasant pressure point.
The G7 button (top left of the page) has, unlike the other 3 keys acts no höhrbaren pressure point and, just as G6 (top right of the page) a bit spongy. The bottom two (G4, G5) are a bit more workable. For this, there are 1 star deduction.
Battery performance:
Finally still a manufacturer who relies on Eneloops! These are by far (!), The best batteries that can be found. They hold their charge much longer than other batteries and have a few years of use, still a decent capacity. In addition, they arrive directly charged.
The power consumption of g700s is very high, which is hardly surprising in a 1000 Hz mouse.
Highly recommended, therefore, is to use the profiles in order to save some power.
It will show in the next few weeks how long the battery lasts on average. Then I will add the Berwertung.
Currently, I would estimate it at 1-4 days duration, with a balanced operation.
Who cares, the times should look at the Logitech G602 that holds 2 batteries.
Software:
Since I had the Logitech Gaming Software that is needed for more accurate adjustment of the mouse, already installed for my G710 +, another driver installation was not necessary. The mouse is not detected directly, and I was able to get started.
The 5 (in the mouse) storable profiles I find very handy, so you set the DPI and its own modes always has it.
One can per 1-5 Profile sensitivity levels (dpi), select the signal rate of the mouse (Hz), and an operating mode and all key documents (not the key to decoupling the mouse wheel).
Should be as far as possible adjusted down to increase the battery life especially the signal rate (counts per second).
Currently, however, I use only 3 of the 5 profiles:
1. Desktop mode: 125Hz, power saving mode, 1000dip + + 2500dpi 4000dpi - to save power
2. Image processing: 500Hz, normal game mode, 700dpi + + 1000dpi 2500dpi 3500dpi +
3. Games: 1000Hz, optimized Game Mode, 1000dpi 2000dpi + + + 3500dpi 5000dpi
The DPI values, however, are not quite where I want it hinhaben.
