But since then I have a DSLR and system camera, I spent a long time in various fields and woods in search of my dropped lens cap, it's just not as simple old habits ;-) Two lenses have with me already Ersatzdeckel, therefore pays off for me in any case the purchase of cover holders. And over these inexpensive 10-pack rejoice my relatives with system cameras.
What I love about this holder really like is the style. For some reason there is no white cap holder, but quite white cameras / lenses. A completely black holder looks on a white lid incredibly out of place. Through the shiny ring but that's quite acceptable in this variant.
The rubber strap of the cover holder can indeed draw on the lens, I can recommend this but not since then disturbs me the cover. Is much better attachment to the left carrying eye of the camera. Disadvantage: When changing the lens you have to change and the lid, which is fiddly. A small carabiner would be helpful here, other lid holder with that occasionally included.
The total length of the belt (cord and rubber strap) is the way 22 cm, the cord alone is 13 cm long. My biggest objective is the Sigma 17-70 (9 cm length including cover), but the band goes smoothly. Incidentally, in any of my lenses makes the lens hood is a difference for the required length of tape. All my screens are namely either cut or flexible as rubber.
Conclusion: Very good value for money, pay off for me by saving replacement lids ;-)
