First of all to the exterior: The Oblo Dolce Gusto is chic, beautifully small and handy, so it is likely even fit on the narrowest countertop in the kitchen. Unfortunately, I found that the machine cable is short a little bit, that might like to be a little longer. The individual parts of the machine are all easily washable and not very sensitive.
The first handles (structure and first cleaning) were done very quickly and fairly self-explanatory based on the little picture in the accompanying booklet. The steps for the first time, however not making coffee.
As noted, this is my first capsule machine and accordingly I was unaware at the beginning. So I was not clear that (eg Latte Macchiato or Chococino) one for some drinks needs 2 capsules and not just one. That is unfortunately nowhere explained and so I started my very first capsule-drink (Chococino) course completely wrong. For this reason, one should also not be fooled: although the Welcome-capsule pack contains 6 capsules, de facto, however, can be produced only 4 drinks it.
What was also not apparent to me and was unfortunately nowhere explained literally, was the actual operation of the machine. Or that this machine unfortunately is no signal when the drink is ready, or even itself ceases to run water when a certain point is reached. It operates the water lever independently and also pushes it back if it is believed, one would now have enough drink in the cup. The work here apparently only about judgment and its own assessment when running out of the capsule still coffee and from when only brownish water. And I thought that was really weird, because I'm not so used to from my previous coffee machines (which are at least semi-automatic). If you now is one of those people who, during the machine passes, still running around in the kitchen and do something else and not just pay attention to the coffee beam of the machine, it can quickly render you suddenly too much dishwater rather than coffee in the Cup has. This is what happened on my second drink (latte macchiato).
I find that a bit sad that there is no possibility for a signal when the coffee is completely gone through / when the capsule is empty and that one just has to decide by eye when to reset the water lever.
Well, if you have to but once resigned to this fact - and knows it - then you can be produced already nice drinks relatively quickly and easily. For regular coffee drinkers who consume several cups a day, but I would another machine that works longer automatically recommend.
For occasional coffee drinkers, as I am, the Oblo Dolce Gusto by Krups is definitely against a kitchen appliance that could convince me after some initial understanding of problems, though I do not think the handling really optimal.
