Once unwrapped, the disappointment is immediate. Nevermind the texts (in English and German) very short and phoned which introduce different periods. The book is nothing but a collection of (very) large screenshots of some 215 games. Sometimes it's pleasant or surprising, like when you discover the Sprite Samus, Metroid NES enlarged up 30cm. Take any image from Another World is all wonderful ways. But for the vast majority of games, this policy of random screenshot resolutely any. And the problems do not end there. In the modern games, 3D is often downright ugly. A screenshot double page (50 cm by 25), from a 1080p resolution, or even less, it is rude. To top it all, it is sometimes entitled to JPEG compression artifacts visible so the image is enlarged. But mostly, we regularly feel that the author openly mocks us, as in the page dedicated to Gran Turismo, which contains only ... the expansion of a speedometer all he has to any more. Or the one dedicated to the arcade game 1943, that contains only the title screen!
As for the record, we must recognize it some visual appeal: it is a transparent yellow vinyl. But the pieces (which you can also download the mp3) tired very quickly.
What a missed opportunity! Especially since the finish is perfect: it is good paper with good print quality. If only they had put as much care in the design of this work at its implementation, the result would have been indispensable.
Unfortunately, before this shoddy work, I can only advise you to go your way.
