Optics: straightforward, timeless and suitable for other current Apple products
Feel: While plastic, but still high (just as you would expect from Apple) and neither too light nor too heavy
Ergonomics: best, because you have to take any binding position of the hand, as you get them dictated to by other manufacturers, which usually fits only right-handers. Not that I would not be one, but we just are not alone on this planet ;-)

The absolute innovation, and at least for me a clear reason to buy, is the so-called "scroll ball" is. One can thus, faster, more precise and easier than with any (known to me) mouse wheel to scroll in every possible direction. A feature you sure do not want to miss, once you get used to it first. And the pressure it has even an (almost) freely assignable button for example. Exposé, Spaces, Dashboard or the like.
And when I'm at it, I MUST clean up just a point of criticism, which unfortunately is now easy to OFT was set here: "pollution"
Statements about how "fast" but "scroll ball" polluted, and how often it needs to be cleaned, I just can not hear, sorry! I do not know what's the problem right there, but I have my Mighty Mouse now for a year in daily use and a really rough dirt has never happened before. Sure you should from time to time over it wipe (or via the "Scroll Ball"), but of many here can definitely be no question.
Therefore my message to all who have problems: How about every now and then with "washing hands"! That really helps tremendously ;-)
I mean, if you like smeared the mouse with its "fingers fries" or, really need not to wonder. In "normal" hand hygiene but cited problem should definitely fail.
The two side buttons, which it indeed is really just a can while you also show, but their use is unfortunately to be desired. The poor accessibility to and the stiff pressure point (with no real resonance) are strongly of revision.
Another thing that still addressed and not ignore should be left is that the movement of the hand a little, and every now and then "hakelig" "faltering". One problem that is perhaps due to the Bluetooth function. Familiar "normal" wireless technology works as simply more precise. Not that the Bluetooth technology to not be able, but with the present product is in the implementation, and integration definitely room for improvement. The falls a "normal" work / operate although on not particularly - so do not worry, I wanted to scare anyone here -. But as a graphic example where really counts every little movement and "millimeter work" is in demand, you should maybe Looking for a different input device. Gamer relates to the course, but that can be found on Macs so rare. Of course you can use the Mighty Mouse on Windows, but that should be limited to a very small number of users.
In short: Once again a round (though here more oval) thing from Apple.
