Sealing and hard!

If water is pure run into the thing, then you have probably already put a few feet of water.
Did the whole thing with my HTC One (M7) (2013er model) in operation and it sits then already very tight in there. Need each time 2-3 minutes before I removed the phone after the bike ride from his pocket.
When HTC One can a normal Case / Bumper still there and leave it still fits.
The "inner" sleeve is made of silicone and the closure is a simple zip bag to you several times, and then fold over closes with Velcro to the "outer" shell. Even if I write here of 2 sheaths are the two parts inseparable.

The volume buttons and the power button are somewhat hard to use, you need a lot more pressure than one is used, perhaps by normal bumpers and hulls or even from "naked" smartphone.

If you like the HTC One has the power connector at the bottom, fits as well as through more than a small angled plug. Topeak warns that the smart phone in the envelope could be warm and should be taken with extreme caution outside temperatures. This is well understood because the shell is damn tight and air circulation is because more is probably not possible.

For iPhone 5 / 5s there Topeak as an alternative also hard plastic cases in Waterproof similar to the "normal" Ride Cases are designed and allow the connections accessible. Too bad that only Topeak the non-waterproof case has on offer for other manufacturers.
