I have the cells loaded directly after receiving first. The semi-professional charge controller has loaded into each 1310-1390 mAh in the 4 cells. That is already times quite smoothly, so far so good.
I had deliberately bought the more expensive original packed cells, to get good product and details of the date of manufacture and not bulk goods in plastic boxes, which is possibly B-Ware.
Cells were allegedly produced 08/2013, ie about half a year ago. If one sets the 15% self-discharge per year, which are on the package, however, had less than 200 mAh of energy may be lost !!
Well, the charging efficiency of the cells is not as good, assuming a factor of about 1.4, 1000 mAh are still been out there and thus the self-discharge would be about 5 times as high as specified.
I will continue to report on how the behave, but for now there are no more than 3 stars for the cells.
Update:
I have the cells now discharged and recharged several times. The average capacity in I / 10 (250mA) discharge current is 2420 mAh, so not all of the specified value. The pure amount so charged is on average 2725 mAh, charging efficiency at almost 90%.
This arises from the initial charge (see above), that the cells were half-empty, and that at 1/2 year after manufacture. This is a self-discharge rate, as they also show standard NiMH, and not better. Good standard 2400 mAh cells are not much different in price, so not really a problem to buy them, only with the self-discharge is annoying and the selling point / the benefit for these cells is gone.
Thus, I will leave the assessment at 3 stars.
Update:
After nearly a year testing shows it is the self-discharge. I have made several attempts with the individual cells nch several months of storage, and the results are not so great.
The white come up with about 90% of capacity to the customer, have been so fully charged (depending on date). These were therefore originally probably, since the self-discharge characteristic little cells corresponds to and the rate is about 5 times higher than that of the white (at least at the rate that I have).
Therefore clear recommendation, buys the plain white, which are top and significantly longer operational!
It stays with 3 stars.
