The title says it all. The plastic version of the case has not only drawbacks: The lens is quite nice and light. The minimum focusing distance is great, goes through the entire zoom range and 55mm focal length reaching almost 1: 3. The part was after a short time my favorite lens and usually I take nothing else with. Since the pricing is also very friendly (of course, also has a large circulation), is in my opinion worth even a backup copy. The competing VR is not about identical and has 4 more lenses with correspondingly more exposed surfaces and reflections. Therefore: This is my favorite!
