Operation under Windows and Chromebook was no problem,
under Linux the following adaptation is necessary according to the manufacturer Plug-up:
To use your dongle on Linux, you simply need to add a udev rule for the device.
1) Create a file /etc/udev/rules.d/10-security-key.rules Containing:
SUBSYSTEMS == "usb", ATTRS {idVendor} == "2581", ATTRS {idProduct} == "f1d0", MODE = "0660", GROUP = "one_of_your_groups"
2) You can use any group used by your account. To see the list of your groups, use the linux command: groups
3) Once the rule is added, you need to restard udev with: sudo udevadm trigger
You Should then be able to use your Security Key with Chrome 38+
Thus I was able to use even under Xubuntu 14.10.
On Windows, the equipment installation must be awaited and then the Key a second time to be inserted at the 1st use.
For each query, the key must be re-inserted, other models solve the a button on the key.
The key has no NFC interface to perform a query on the mobile phone, which was not expected at the price.
Currently I give here 5 Stars, because the increase in security at the price is enormous ....
Unfortunately, currently available only in Google Stand 10/2014. Hopefully soon more providers .....
Support by the seller was very good and quick!
