My smartphone (Samsung Galaxy S1 I9000, length 12.2 cm, width 6.4 cm) fits almost perfectly into this bag. Although the bag closes quite close up and off, but the Velcro is so large that can be closed without problems the bag yet, fortunately. For my purposes, so still quite usable.
The loop for the vertical belt clip is attached with Velcro double at the bottom, it can therefore not solve anything. The loop for the horizontal belt clip is sewn.

The build quality is top. All seams are very clean. A chemical smell, like you have it often in inferior synthetic fiber materials can not be determined.
