I was looking for a headset in the value price segment and have to search on the Turtle Beach Ear Force Z11 and the Plantronics GameCom 780 Gaming Headset 7.1 Surround Sound encountered.
My requirements was clear;
-max. 50
-Stereo Headset
-It must be very comfortable to wear.
The last criterion was the most important in this case because I'm wearing the headset up to 5 hours at the "gamble" and want, even after all this time, neither warm or wet ears, still have bruises and pain.
Turtle Beach Z11
In direct comparison, the Turtle Beach Z11 wins for his ultimate good fit on the head. The ear cushions are covered with breathable fabric, the pressure is great and the ears are completely enclosed. In addition, a more balanced sound for me and, according to my colleagues, super microphone. The plastic has a high sounding Oberläche and processing is good for this price range.
Plantronics GameCom 780 Gaming Headset 7.1 Surround Sound
The GameCom has a high contact pressure and the typical "Schwitzstoff" as a reference (according leatherette the worst thing that can happen to you). My ears have been annealed and hurt after a short sample (ca25min). Even with this headset my ears are completely enclosed. Overall, it is harder and heavier than the Turtle Beach.
With the "would like to" 7.1 sound that comes from the stereo speakers, I could not do much. It sounds more like a forced a 3D effect that alienated even the TS or Skype votes. You feel like in a church.
All in all, I really recommend the Turtle Beach headset very. I use it only to play first-person shooters and am more than satisfied. The stereo speakers are sufficient for locations of enemies, even proves the pro-gamers, which carry all stereo headsets.
