Toast properties: the intensity - and thus the power consumption - is set via a rotary knob, which is also set depending on the number and size of different toasts in doubt at every different toasting. I think that's ok, although an automatic would be more comfortable. For the price you just can not expect miracles.
True There are departures for the top-side black plastic frame: this deforms over time increasingly more if you (with folded up metal mesh) using the Back function rolls and / or for maximum fill with toasts performance should turn up something. This must not happen at a relatively inexpensive toaster like this in my opinion!
