My husband has very sensitive skin, and until about 3 months he was seen consistently with a 3-day beard. Even on our wedding he has not shaved smooth. Because his skin is very sensitive, he looked for a close shave from any time, like a crumb cake. His skin was red and it emerged pimples. Only since my husband uses the Series 9 9040S von Braun, he shaves partly smooth. Currently he has a small beard and the rest of the face is clean-shaven. That would previously have been unthinkable!
So now came the Remington XF8500 to test us. My husband was curious because it has particularly interested shaving in the shower. Rinse so yes the stubble right away and saves time in general. What we have not thought of: taking a shower, we have no Spiegel.- Who already - so a complete shaving might work, shaving a beard around then but quickly became the gambling?.
Otherwise, the Remington once a good impression. He feels good and fits comfortably in your hand. While I find it a little hard, feel my husband (and that's the point also) it was a pleasant one. The shaver operates high-quality workmanship, even if the blue looks a bit cheap at first sight for me.
Remington advertises an optimal adaptation to cheeks, upper lip, chin and neck by a floating shaving head. This can not confirm my husband. He dislocated with this shaver as well as with other razors. No more, no less.
Although the cradle of the razor looks nice, but is a little shaky.
Now for the hair: As already written above, my husband is very sensitive at a close shave. Remington advertises in this shaver with a gentle shave. This can my husband so not confirm. Although the Remington shaved very well. He takes the hair really well and reliably. My husband does not unnecessarily often go through a site in order to smooth shave. Despite my husband's skin reacts here with redness and pimples. So gentle, the shaving yes then not be. Because with the (more expensive) Brown it will work even without any irritation.
Nevertheless, we do not want to completely tear the Remington. He shaved really good and fits comfortably in your hand, even the cleaning is absolutely simple. And when you consider the price difference between the Remington and the Brown (currently about 140), the Remington cuts not at all so bad. It is not suitable for men with sensitive skin, but which shaver is? So we forgive for the Remington 4 stars!
