Jordin Sparks won last year's "American Idol" as youngest participant ever. After the album for over half a year to buy in the States now comes the album finally out with us. In this album somehow a mix between pop and R & B is there, but you could tell that Jordin comes from a talent show. "Tattoo", "One Step At A Time" and "No Air" have become great songs and rightly a huge hit in the US. "Freeze" is simply a beautiful song that you had best listen in winter. For summer, the song does not really fit. Where one could remember the first time that Jordin comes from a talent show would the song "Shy Boy". The song is a bit boring and the melody is nothing special. The voice is unfortunately far too distorted computer. Because you could have done more of it. But are "Now You Tell Me" and "Next To You" very nice ballads, the better Zother. Just fantastic and really goosebumps. No Computerverzerte voice but for a beautiful melody. Of this there could be more quiet. "Just for the Record" is a nice pop song, but nothing more. Can quickly geranten into oblivion, because it is nothing special. "Permanent Monday" on the other hand is a better ballad. While not the absolute highlight of the album, but still quite good and not fall so quickly into oblivion. In "Young And In Love" you realize again that they made a casting show comes only with the difference that this song is much better than the above-mentioned "Shy Boy". Better tune, better song and not Computerverzerte voice. Good song. "See My Side", however, is again mediocre. Again not bad but again nothing special. We forget very quickly. By contrast, one forgets "God Loves Ugly" not so fast. Also a beautiful ballad to dream and almost crying. Nicely done. Also, "This Is My Now" is also beautiful ballad which was published in the US as the first single. Conclusion: Jordin Sparks succeed with their eponymous album a good debut album. However, they should leave annoying songs like "Shy Boy" or mediocre titles like "Just for the Record" on the next album and produce better songs such as the type of "No Air" or "One Step At A Time". Overall, I forgive good 4 star and when I'm evolving sure the next album will earn 5 stars.
