"The Empire Strikes Back" tops this result even more: Williams manages to give this bleak film optimally each mood and add sound believable and never overloaded the many different and often very violent emotions. The most famous theme throughout the film, "The Imperial March (Darth Vader's Theme)" was composed for this film; gorgeous and the contrast between the aufpeitschenden "The Asteroid Field" and the calm, measured "Yoda's Theme". On the most beautiful in my opinion but after the "Love Theme": Williams takes this for the basic melody, the first three notes of "Leia's Theme" and supplements them with three other, so that you can also acoustically gets the impression that it would come together two halves. The resulting sound is wonderful, because were the sounds of "Leia's Theme" maybe a little too high (which is probably intended to indicate their "high-mindedness"), is the "Love Theme" an arc in which swings the music and then soft but passionate sinks back into deeper tones.
"Star Wars" ushered in 1977 the rediscovery of symphonic, classical music-oriented film in the film industry and this tradition has continued impressively with all subsequent films. A real "treat for the ears"! So if you have never paid attention to film music, or never could do much with it, unlock definitely ears, it is really worth!
