Sigma 18-50

To make it short: I have participated in the SIGMA-lottery and drawn a blank. with the resulting copy images were not sharp at 50mm were possible. everything looked like worked with Blur. was tested as follows:

- D80 camera on tripod (Manfrotto 055X with Manfrotto midi ball head is already stable)
- Remote Trigger
- Newspapers in 3m distance
- To compare NIKON 50mm / 1.8 and Nikon 18-55mm / 3.5-5.6
- Focal length of 50mm is always with different aperture

Result: NIKON sharply, SIGMA blurred. for whatever reason. Therefore, the present copy is unusable. you have to actually try out multiple copies.

However, external processing and feel are very good. Solid metal bayonet. by rotating focus ring during autofocus can live. I find that not so bad. very quiet autofocus by HSM. therefore even 2 stars.

I try it sometime soon with a SIGMA 17-50mm / 2.8 HSM OS. due to the OS it is certainly the flexibelere product. I will report ...
