But most important to me is the quality of paper, because I often replacements ink drawings or calligraphy, and the lighthouse-books are in this respect extremely well: The paper is smooth, high-quality (acid test with dripping-wet brush: The ink expresses not even on the back of the sheet by ), and white (which of course is a matter of taste) than that of Moleskine books. The real A5 format (1cm wider than Moleskines) is also an advantage for me.
I have some Moleskine books used, but the paper quality has increasingly frustrated me: shredded ink runs and pushes through, sometimes not only on the back of the page but on the next sheet. (Honestly, I have this error overlooked so long due to the cult factor of Moleskines and because I knew no good alternatives.) The lighthouses) have not the problem.
That the lighthouse books despite significantly better paper are even cheaper than the Moleskines makes changing easy for me. Great notebook! :)
