Silent masterpiece that gets under your skin

"Eternity and a Day" is a quiet masterpiece that gets under your skin, in the images incomprehensible density, power and poetry form a symbiotic relationship with the content and the film music and find a unit, as they are found rarely. Target, may, may I use the word "perfection"?
The handwriting of Theo Angelopoulos is unmistakable, gravely, full symbolism, full of melancholy and Weltschmerz and yet, and that's the wonderful thing, purifying magically.
